What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Analyst position at AMP Agency?
AMP is searching for an ambitious and curious critical-thinker to join our growing Analytics team. Candidates should have a passion for data analysis, critical thinking and storytelling. The Senior Analyst will collaborate closely with our Media, Creative, Strategy and Technology teams.
Requirements/Skills:
- At least 3 years of marketing analytics and business intelligence experience, with an emphasis on media and marketing measurement.
- Experience building dashboards in tools such as PowerBI and Tableau. This includes both the data visualization component of dashboard development and backend data preparation / consolidation.
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Intellectually curious, analytical, and passionate about data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in interpreting data to glean actionable insights.
- Working knowledge of databasing concepts (e.g. primary keys, foreign keys, joins).
- Working knowledge of key platforms and data types in the marketing space, specifically media ad-serving data (e.g. DCM), social platform data (e.g. Facebook/Instagram) and web analytics data (e.g. Google Analytics).
- Experience with a tag management solution (e.g. GTM) is a plus.
- Experience with relational database programming languages (e.g. SQL) and statistical tools (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Python) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Transform data into client-facing dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Extract, clean and blend data from disparate sources.
- Partner with internal teams to identify the “what” and “why” in our data findings to support the identification of actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate across functional teams (e.g. Media, Creative, Strategy, Technology) to identify opportunities for both internal process improvements and client business outcomes.
- Participate in the creation of our clients’ measurement strategies, including KPI selection, data capture requirements, measurement frameworks and data visualization.
