AMP Robotics is hiring a Sortation Operator to support, facilitate and quality control at AMP's secondary sortation facility. This role participates as an integral team member, gives input on equipment usage, operational processes, safety concerns, and other topics.
As a Sortation Operator, you will work to:

  • Performs preoperative and postoperative inspection of the equipment and reports any necessary repairs to supervisor and/or Maintenance Shop.
  • Continuously monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal down time
  • Continuously observes material being processed for signs of hazardous waste, fire, smoldering, etc
  • Inspect materials and sort materials according to type, size, condition, coloring or paper grade
  • Feed material onto the conveyor
  • Clean up conveyor and surrounding sorting line. Keep surrounding work area clean
  • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining equipment
  • Adheres to all company, and regulatory safety standards and rules
  • Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have:
Required:

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • Two (2) years of experience operating same or similar machinery

  • Overtime and call-in work may be required

  • Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, ear plugs, gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, and safety vest
  • Machines including, but not limited to, forklift, baler, wheel loader
  • Tools including, but not limited to, broom, shovel, tire gauge, water hoses, screwdriver, wrenches and other hand tools

  • Potential Exposure to extreme weather conditions

Salary & compensation information: $15 to $17 hourly rate depending on experience

  • Medical - The company covers up to 85% of the premium of UHC Gold Choice Plus POS 1250 BP9K. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 25% for dependents
  • Group Life, AD&D – 100% paid

  • Dental Insurance – 75% paid
  • Vision Insurance* - 75% paid
  • Employee Assistance Program - Provided through United Healthcare
