Role - Backend Developer

Location - Seattle, WA or Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Job Description

• We are looking for Software Engineer with experience building distributed software solutions in AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing highly-scalable and reliable systems and services.
• Integrating new features, testing, and deploying to multiple environments and documenting design decisions are the expected out of the candidate to fulfill this role.
• The ideal candidate will help the current engineering team implement new feature workflows into our existing Juxta project, designing and orchestrating interactions between the FrontEnd piece and the backend via developing APIs, implementing Feature flags, translating features from other systems into the new workflows to be supported.
• The new features planned right now include adding support for the current system to support localization from LLCC to ENUS, ability to provide auto-pilot/auto-refresh and add Communication features, the capability to add comments and notify stakeholders and approvers of any message sent to each localization project request.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• BA or MS degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5 years of professional software development experience with full SDLC
• 5 years of experience with Object Oriented Design and programming
• 5 years of experience with Java and related libraries
• 3 years of experience with REST APIs and Restful Architecture, Design & implementation
• Experience working with Agile delivery methodology with Scrum sprint cycles
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services and Infrastructure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player, with a collaborative mindset
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Application Security and remediating security related issues
• Experience with Operational Excellence and end to end product support
• Hands on experience on working with AWS technologies such as:
• AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) with Typescript
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon SQS
• Amazon SNS
• Amazon EventBridge
• Amazon DynamoDB
