Functional Scope:Schedule and organize the day-to-day activities/operations within the production environment for a multi shift operation.
Position Specifications: BS in technical field or minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a technical production environment. Work in a dynamic environment with the ability to make quick calculated decisions. Working knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office software, strong diplomacy, effective communication, analytical aptitude, technical writing and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge and understanding of IATF standards. A commitment toward continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Regular attendance
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations
- Expert understanding of each production function throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure Plant Production meets or exceeds budgeted level of cost, quality and delivery levels, to ensure we exceed plant O.I. targets
- Responsible for timely/cost effective processing of quality products.
- Controls utilization of labor to ensure adequate production at required quality levels to fulfill multi-shift production requirements of the manufacturing plant
- Directs and guides off shift supervisors/leadoffs in the performance of their duties.
- Ensure all products are produced within established quality standards.
- Understand and drive plant operational metrics for productivity, efficiency, COPQ and internal external PPM to ensure year over year improvements.
- Lead daily manufacturing GEMBA walk while promoting cross functional problem solving through a metric-based process.
- Responsible to drive plant productivity performance
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Maintain employee Time Keeping records
- Thorough understanding of company policies/procedures while ensuring adherence and executing disciplinary actions as required
- Recommend facility, equipment, and staffing changes to accomplish company objectives
- Ensure plant staffing levels are sufficient so deliver desired results and cost
- Maintains an accurate documentation system for absences and training
- Strong focus on the health and safety of all employees.
- Thorough understanding and administration of union contract
- Writes procedures to accomplish goals/objectives
- Interprets process sheets, control plans and procedures
- Participates and assists in company continuous improvement initiatives
- Flexibility to meet the needs of all 3 shifts when required
- Travel as necessary
- Other functions as assigned

Salary : $81,300 - $103,000
