What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Supervisor position at Amplifier Research Corporation?
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, world leader in the design & manufacture of broadband, RF amplifiers, has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the department’s integrity and ethical purchasing conduct when dealing with vendors
· Direct activities of subordinate personnel engaged in procurement of materials and supplies required for our corporate location in Souderton, PA
· Coordinate purchasing of raw materials to satisfy the short and long term shipping requirements, and coincide with MRP master schedule data
· Work closely with Scheduling to ensure correct input from the master schedule to achieve on time material deliveries
· Review and approve requisitions, supply sources, supplies, quotations, terms, etc.
· Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions with fairness but competitively advantageous to AR
· Approve plans for controlling defective or unacceptable goods or services.
Basic Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree and six years related experience and/or training preferred
· Associate degree and 10 years related work experience acceptable
· Supervisory experience required
· APICS certification is a plus
· Travel as required to visit vendors
