AmplifyBio’s next step forward in advancing medical breakthroughs, treatments, and cures for disease is to establish a Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) manufacturing and development facility. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to help create and define a first-of-its-kind CGT facility at our new site in South San Francisco, CA.
AmplifyBio is seeking to hire a Laboratory Manager to join our growing team!!!
What You’ll Do Here:
- Oversee the lab EH&S, lab maintenance, and Bio-hazardous waste programs.
- Act as lab Safety Officer.
- Organize and oversee training of all laboratory members for lab safety and be familiar with the processes necessary for the full function of the lab.
- Understanding and following relevant Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Standard and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Ensuring compliance of the laboratories with all standards and regulations required for operation.
- Management and maintenance of equipment that is necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the laboratories.
- Collaborate with supply chain team to maintain stocking of all materials necessary to execute testing.
- Maintain a supply of all required PPE.
- Organize laboratory space for optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the labs are fully operational.
We Would Love to Hear From You If:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Process Science, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 4 years related work of experience.
- Must have EH&S background.
- Experience in managing hazardous materials/wastes, SDS, fume hood, and safety equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organization skills, and computer and software skills.
- Should also demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in keeping a laboratory productive and running smoothly.
- Sufficiently medically fit to work in a lab and perform assigned duties.
