Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager

STARTING YEARLY SALARY OF $100,000 - $125,000 BASED ON EXPERIENCE!

Reports to: Director of Operations/Project Manager
FSLA Status: Exempt
Job Summary: Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, the Fleet Maintenance Manager ensures that all vehicles’ (Revenue and non-revenue vehicles) registrations, insurance, and maintenance records are in compliance with all NYCT, state and federal regulations as well as all AMR All Transit policies and procedures.
DUTIES, ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following.
- Oversees the repair and maintenance for all vehicles in the fleet at two separate locations
- Supervises and directs the mechanics to ensure the completion of all daily work orders
- Maintains equipment records in accordance with federal, state and local laws, policy or regulation
- Exercise independent discretion/judgment to provide progressive discipline for maintenance staff
- Responsible for all fleet record maintenance including but not limited to monthly vehicle preventative maintenance; Fire Suppression Systems; Electrical System Checks; fuel receipts and reconciliation; remount schedule and part inventory & orders
- Solve warranty issues when necessary
- Ensures full compliance to regulations as set forth by NYSDOT and other regulatory agencies
- Directly responsible for all investigations of accidents and ensures their timely resolution through reporting to the Director of Operations as well as the Accident Committee monthly
- Directly oversees general building upkeep and maintenance
- Negotiate and establish repair cost or parts pricing
- Any additional requests/duties assigned by the Director of Operations
