Job Description:

Our client is looking for an Exchange Messaging Engineer. They will be responsible for the firm Active Directory, email systems, and all ancillary email systems for a mid to large-sized international law firm headquartered in midtown Manhattan.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Proficient in design, deployment, and support in the following technologies: Active Directory, MS Exchange, Outlook, Outlook 365, MS Teams, Azure, Azure AD, Email Archiving - EnterpriseVault, Discovery Accelerator, Email Signature System - Exclaimer, CodeTwo, MDM - Maas360, Apple MDM Certificate, Email Security Filtering - Mimecast, Email Distribution List Management - ListServ, SSL Certificate Management, and Domain Registration Management 
• On Call 24/7
• Work within the engineering team on day-to-day support, break-fix, maintenance, troubleshooting, and systems implementation.
• Enforce and adhere to firm security policies and procedures.
• Enforce and adhere to firm change control.
• Develop, enforce, and adhere to messaging standards firm-wide.
• Triage level 3 or higher user issues and requests and determine validity, requirements, and urgency using a ticketing system.

• Carry out all aspects of Active directory and email systems installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, management, troubleshooting, break-fix and capacity planning.
• Evaluate firm needs, requirements, technology, and security to ensure the best and up-to-date practices are being implemented.
• Create thorough project plans for the implementation of solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation of systems, operations, procedures, incidents, and resolutions.
• Proactive capacity planning, process and procedure improvement, budgeting, maintenance renewals, and upgrades.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent troubleshooting skills a must.
• 5 or more years of experience with hands-on email and systems infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with a full range of technologies including Email systems, Windows operating systems, VMWare, etc.
• Experience with systems monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and management.
• Engineering level documentation, diagramming, and communication.
• Experience with creating or maintaining operations runbooks or documentation to ensure day-to-day systems security, quality of service, and up time.
