Summary
The Legal & Compliance Department Assistant will provide administrative and coordination support to the AMSURG Legal & Compliance Department, directly supporting a group of attorneys, paralegals, and compliance team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Database filing.
- Vendor and matter management using a web-based platform.
- Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files.
- Communicate with internal departments, gather information, and respond to inquiries from internal and external contacts.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, travel, and appointments.
- Process expense reports and reimbursements.
- Receive, process and submit invoices for payment.
- Special projects related to data entry, corporate entity inventory management, and other job-related duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
- High School Degree or equivalent required. ·
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. ·
- Healthcare or corporate transactional experience preferred.
- Public Notary highly preferred.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: · Microsoft Office Suite. · Matter Management/eBilling platforms. · Intermediate Excel experience is desired.
