POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for building the planning, coordination and executive reporting capabilities for a large healthcare organization. The specific emphasis of this role will be to identify opportunities to create a structured and cadence based approach to large, multi-function, multi-business transformation programs underway and planned. In addition, this role will be focused on developing the “Strategic Initiative Playbook” based on previous experience, leading practices, and lessons learned to set the basis for future strategic initiative programs.
The position must effectively communicate with multiple groups within the organization to ensure strategic initiatives and projects are prioritized and implemented in alignment with scope, schedule, and financial objectives. The position actively manages and is accountable for the coordination across functions to meet execution timelines, including strategic and financial objectives. Further, this position will take the lead to manage interdependencies to align key timeline and initiatives dependencies across the functional teams, thereby contributing to the execution of an integrated plan. The position will also work to build and maintain executive dashboards to report on the progress towards key KPI’s for both the initiative and the organization.
The position directly engages key senior leaders and stakeholders across functions, ensures alignment with ongoing strategic initiatives, while ensuring collaboration, coordination and timely issue resolutions among all stakeholders across functions, regions and businesses. Results will significantly impact the achievement of the strategic, operational and financial objectives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Strategic Initiatives resources day-to-day
- Oversee the development and execution of initiative plans, activities and teams to ensure initiative programs are delivered on schedule, on budget, while meeting business objectives.
- Provide the structure and guidance to focus the initiative teams to develop an end-state design and execution plan to deliver against the strategic, operational and financial goals
- Align initiative activities and projects with strategic goals and initiatives; and support teams to rapidly resolve conflicts and challenges
- Identify cross-functional and functional strategic decisions and issues; and work with initiative teams to develop options and recommendations and to present options to leadership
- Develop and implement the enterprise initiative program management approach – including but not limited to status reporting, governance, integrated project plan tracking, financial management, and change control
- Coordinate with the Finance Leadership to ensure that budget, Annual Operating Plan, and identified savings processes and other cost implications / considerations are coordinated across the enterprise program and teams
- Setup and deploy tools to enable initiative teams, including but not limited to tools, templates and collaboration mechanisms
- Conduct regular status updates and initiative reviews with operation and business leaders, facilitating discussions to identify and resolve issues, and obtain alignment on required decisions
- Identify, track, and manage interdependencies and milestones between functional teams; and identify and assist teams in issue identification and resolution to achieve program goals
- Assist in managing the integration of practices onto our EHG platform as needed
- Build an enterprise Strategic Initiative Playbook for use across all program planning activities

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
- Hands-on experience in large-scale project, portfolio, resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
- Consulting and/or industry experience a plus
- M&A integration experience a plus
- 5-7 years’ experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities interacting with all levels in the organization
