Test Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform disassembly, assembly, rework, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
• Uphold an acceptable safety and attendance record in compliance with company policies.
• Learn to test and troubleshoot various products as required, completing necessary training to maintain knowledge and skills.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with area efficiency and 6S improvement projects to enhance operational processes.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed within the scope of expertise.
• Perform maintenance and alteration tasks according to technical data and industry standards.
• Record work performed accurately on appropriate maintenance records.

Physical Requirements:

• Approximately 80% sitting and 20% standing/walking in indoor company facilities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
• Utilization of hand tools, power tools, and environmental test chambers.
• Proficiency in performing major hand grasping, fine finger manipulations, and light lifting tasks.
• Minimal exposure to heavy lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, and kneeling.
• Minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, and uneven walking surfaces.

Skills:

• Ability to utilize manual and automated test equipment for digital and analog circuitry testing.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding circuit functions.
• Fluent communication in technical terms both verbally and in writing.
• Operation of environmental test chambers.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
