What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic assembler position at Amtec?
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB :
To produce a variety of small parts and circuit cards;assemble and wire basic components and subassemblies; and to solderin accordance with JSTD001.
II. PRIMARY DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES : (Duties and responsibilities which occupy amajor portion of time and importance in the job.
Incumbent(s)perform one or more of the following duties.)
1Modifies fabricates and builds equipment andsubassemblies working from layout diagrams schematics wire printsand verbal instructions.
Aligns and joins parts into housing usinghand and power tools.
Installs components andparts on chassis circuit boards panels and other units using powertools hand tools and various soldering equipment.
Routes andattaches wires and connectors to form circuitry and connectassembly with power supply sources.
- Performsintermediate assembly tasks such as potting encapsulating cleaningcoating epoxy bonding wiring stamping etching and color codingparts and assemblies.
- Wires various wire cableassemblies to both inside and outside chassis. Assembles andattaches functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps clamps andknobs using hand and power tools.
- Installsfinished assemblies and subassemblies in cases or cabinets.Performs touch up painting of cabinets prior toshipping.
- Mounts equipment in cabinets or onshelves in vans ships and test beds using detailed workinstructions.
- Uses visual aids drawings verbaland written instructions to prepare automatic and manual productionmachinery and equipment to produce small coils and other parts tospecifications.
May be required to workextended hours or weekends. Works with hazardous cutting tools andchemicals.
Skills
Requires sitting standing andoperating hand crimping tools. Occasionally lifts and carriesobjects up to 30 pounds.
Experience
Experience soldering inaccordance with JSTD001.
Education
High School / GED and 2 yearsof related assembly / electronics manufacturingexperience.
