Amtelco is the leader in developing SQL-based applications that are an open platform for critical interoperability in Healthcare and Commercial markets throughout the United States. We have received more than 30 U.S. Patents for telephony software, data handling methodologies, and telephone switching devices!

We’re actively seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist in our Manufacturing Overhead/Quality Control department that will be responsible for Quality Assurance testing of various software applications and solutions following initial development, maintenance of testing environments, and creation of new test procedures upon new product development.

This Full-Time position is based at Amtelco’s corporate headquarters in McFarland, WI and reports to our Quality Assurance Director.

How will I make an impact?

  • Test new revisions of existing software applications according to existing test plans
  • Develop test plans for newly developed software products and updates to existing test plans based upon new product feature development
  • Report test findings to appropriate software development teams or individuals
  • Routine maintenance of Quality Assurance tools and resources, including security updates and database backups
  • Participate in daily meetings with QA staff and management
  • Collaborate with other department team members (Service Technicians, Project Managers, Implementation Specialists) as needed for investigation and recreation of isolated customer-reported issues or demonstration of new software features

What does success look like in this role?

  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
  • Reliable with a professional attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on individual test plan development and execution, including moderately repetitive tasks
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment to investigate and recreate reported product issues as well as communicate findings to the appropriate individuals
  • Willingness to learn operational use of new software solutions on a regular basis
  • Organizational skills in documenting and archiving test plan templates, completed test plans, and supporting evidence (log files, screen captures)
  • Flexibility in assignments – willingness to participate in alternate product testing on short notice when needed
  • Knowledge and use of basic Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications
  • Knowledge of basic Linux operating systems or variants (preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic PC networking (preferred)

Pay: Up to $19.23 per hour
