Azure Cloud Engineer / Admin, NJ / Hybrid, 10 Months
Location: Trenton, NJ- Hybrid- Onsite 3 days, remote 2 days
This role will need to have someone that is heavily experienced in Microsoft Azure administration.
Note: They would also need to have knowledge of AWS, but the main focus will be Azure since that’s an area we are currently lacking in DOH.
The client is seeking an Cloud Engineer/Admin that will assist in designing, developing, maintaining, deploying, and monitoring infrastructure.
Candidate must have prior experience with Azure and extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
Additional Cloud-based tools experience is important and desired skills include experience with the following:
• The resource will implement the design, development, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and data pipelines within Microsoft Azure in accordance with best practices and strategies.
• Experience supporting Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with python and PySpark.
• Support cloud resources to administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and support the Departments cloud application environments/infrastructure.
• Develop and enhance the Departments cloud environments including deploying cloud infrastructure, storage layers, and database engines to satisfy business requirements.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on cloud infrastructure to answer specific business and application development teams questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate and ensure adherence to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including planning, requirements, development, testing, quality assurance, and deployments. Establishes, implements, and oversees processes for moving software changes through the development life cycle. Ensures metric dashboards are developed and established for tracking and monitoring project successes.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ensure adherence to project goals while managing risks and issues; assess alternate solutions to accomplish goals.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

• We are looking for a candidate with 5 years of experience in a Cloud Engineering role, who has attained a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres. Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Experience with Azure cloud services
• Experience with object oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, etc
• Experience with AWS is also preferred: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
