- Position: Desktop Manager/Project Manager (Team Lead)
- Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite from Day 1)
- Salary: $40-$45 per hour (C2C rate)
Job Description: We are urgently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Desktop Manager/Project Manager (Team Lead). Our previous candidate had to decline the offer due to a family emergency, and we are in need of someone to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate should have a background in Desktop Engineering, with experience transitioning into the role of a Desktop Manager and subsequently a Project Manager within the same domain.
Responsibilities:
- Possess a strong understanding and knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including Cloud, Networking, Infrastructure, End User Computing, Information Security, and Applications Support.
- Provide infrastructure support, application support, and deployment services.
- Act as the team lead and effectively interact with clients, resolve issues, and coordinate with offshore teams.
- Demonstrate experience in client interaction, handling escalations, preparing reports, and submitting reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Be capable of handling team management tasks and effectively lead a team of deskside engineers.
- Interact with the business team to understand service level agreements and communicate them to team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project issues and provide status updates.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
- Utilize industry-standard tools for incident and change management.
- Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure problems and develop resolution plans.
- Analyze incidents and suggest action items for improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to develop problem management and service improvement plans.
- Serve as the primary contact for all customer queries and issues.
- Supervise the IT services team responsible for supporting and maintaining the client's IT infrastructure.
- Mentor and provide guidance to team members for the timely completion of assigned projects.
- Assist in staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, promotion, retention, and termination activities.
- Communicate team and department goals and procedures to team members.
- Ensure the team follows best practices and maintains service level agreements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including Cloud, Networking, Infrastructure, End User Computing, Information Security, and Applications Support.
- Proven experience in providing infrastructure support, application support, and deployments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, resolve issues, and coordinate with offshore teams.
- Previous experience as a team lead or project manager is required.
- Proficiency in preparing and submitting reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage a team of deskside engineers.
- Familiarity with industry-standard incident and change management tools.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, perform root cause analysis, and develop resolution plans.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to suggest action items for improvement.
- Experience in staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, promotion, retention, and termination activities.
- Ability to effectively communicate goals and procedures to team members and ensure adherence to best practices and service level agreements.
