SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Business Analyst is a leader in formulating and executing business strategies, high-impact strategic projects, and continuous improvement. The Business Analyst drives value creation by shaping product & portfolio strategies to fuel competitiveness & growth, and by ensuring excellence and policy compliance in execution of those strategies. This role collaborates with team peers to help define data-driven strategies aimed to improve company processes and increase competitive efficiencies within the marketplace. This role works under moderate supervision and has discretion to self-manage work plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Regularly consults with management and relevant stakeholders to define goals.
- Researches, develops, and implements data-gathering methods.
- Analyzes and synthesizes moderate-to-complex key performance metrics data.
- Reports findings and recommends solutions to team lead or manager.
- Creates informative, actionable, and repeatable reports
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings and communications to implement smaller to moderate scale system and/or process improvements.
- Coordinates the functional requirements with business management and technical solutions with systems personnel to determine the most cost-effective solution.
- Collaborates with team members to analyze, create, and implement business process improvements (and metrics) that increase value add for customers and improve morale, quality, delivery, and cost
- Supports development of project work plans / schedules, deliverables and meetings
- Supports team design and development of data analytics to support business and management reports.
- Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their business process requirements, analyze, document user’s needs, and perform GAP Analysis
- Works with business stakeholders to identify key metrics and capture business logic required to transform raw data into actionable work streams
- Searches for innovative ways to create productivities and improve controls
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education, and/or 4 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of relevant experience (combination of proven management controls, business process implementation, analytics experience, etc.)
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong Excel background (pivot tables, macros, v-look-ups, etc.)
- Experience utilizing computer systems
- Strong understanding of statistics and databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Ability to frequently travel, work long hours as required.
- Ability to work in situations requiring fast decision-making skills with incomplete information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, etc. or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience demonstrating skill in analyzing and interpreting quantitative data and qualitative information sufficient to draw conclusions and make business decisions.
- Working knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts/ and practices.
- Strong working knowledge in one or more of the following business areas: `procurement, supply chain, logistics, finance, systems implementations, use cases, user acceptance testing.
- Experience and knowledge of multi-functional business processes and support models.
- Strong experience with SAP and/or Ariba Systems

- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
