Junior Estimator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing detailed proposals to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of construction estimating software.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine project requirements and scope
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid, to create detailed cost breakdowns
- Prepare comprehensive proposals that outline project timelines, materials, labor costs, and other relevant details
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to estimates as needed
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure cost control measures are implemented throughout the project
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and methodologies
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
