Annual salary starting at $52,000.00 (and upward, depending on experience) competitive bonus. This position is eligible for full benefits Daily Pay, (medical, dental & vision) with no waiting period, 401K, paid vacation, free downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.

SUMMARY

This job contributes to Breakfast Operations success by assisting the General manager in executing store operations. This job assists and supervises a team of store partners to create and maintain the Breakfast Experience for our customers and partners. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks, Wolfgang Puck, Amway Hotel Corporation guiding principles.

OPEN AND CLOSE

Ensures all supervisors and staff recognize the importance of closing the outlets to prepare for the opening of the outlets, holding shift supervisors accountable for executing all closing and opening checklists/requirements. AGM will work hours to help support business levels where needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations. Filters communication to the shift team as directed by the store manager.
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the General Manager.
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks, KCWP and AHC. Maintains and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events; continues to keep store operating to standard and sets a positive example for the shift team.
  • Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
  • Engages in conversation with customers to understand customer needs and the needs of the community in which the stores are located.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Models a customer comes first attitude, delivers legendary customer service, and supervises associates to ensure they are delivering legendary customer service.
  • Responds to immediate store needs by utilizing external resources such as Partner & Asset Protection, Partner Resources and Food & Beverage.
  • Reviews all outlet environments and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement in order to provide coaching and direction to the shift team/supervisors to achieve operational goals. Communicates ideas to the General Manager for broader areas of improvement.
  • Supports General Manager in implementing company programs by working directly with shift team/supervisors to execute action plans that meet operational and organization objectives.
  • Supports outlet operations by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments through existing organizational tools and makes recommendations to General Manager on new, creative, and impactful methods of recognition.
  • Utilizes and provides direction to partners during their shift on the use of operational tools to achieve operational excellence. Acts as a coach and mentor to associates by using discretion in assessing

performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve associate performance, and effectively recommending employment decisions to the General Manager

  • Looks for ways to save money by reducing waste and controlling expenses. Also tries to generate more revenue by offering ideas and suggestive selling to the guest whenever possible
  • Keeps work area neat and clean. Work area includes all front and back areas of the entire hotel. Knows where to recycle items for the department and consistently places them in the appropriate bins and recycling stations
  • Follow the AHC safety standards of our hotel
  • Associate to attend TIPS training and properly I.D guests who appear under 40 years of age. Be comfortable to pour wine, beer or make a mixed drink.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily set up for Starbucks
  • The memorization and preparation of all coffee drinks
  • Adhering to the constant cleanliness of the dining room and preparation area
  • Actively taking care of each guest according to Starbucks and AHC guest service standards and department standards
  • Monitoring food waste
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and overall deep cleaning
  • Attending Department Meetings
  • Communicating with your management or team members
  • Follow our hotel green policies
  • Following AHC and Health Department Specs
  • Actively work in the restaurants designated area: counter service, running food, and tables service.
  • Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by General Manager or Food and Beverage Manager


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum two years food and beverage management preferred.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training
