Amyx is seeking to hire a Budget Analyst to support Headquarters Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of Staff G6, IT Investments and Budget Execution Division.
- Perform joint reconciliation and periodic reviews of un-liquidated obligations (ULO) and unfilled orders for multiple appropriations. Interface with both government and contract personnel in the review, resolution, and timely closeout of un-liquidated obligations.
- Prepare comprehensive budget execution briefings for organization leadership providing overall status of available funds, fiscal portfolio, and analysis of organization budget execution in relation to OSD(C) budget execution metrics.
- Support senior level working groups preparing read-ahead packets, attending meetings, preparing minutes and follow on activities.
- Provide advice and assistance to support financial structure changes for IT investments.
- Coordinate, analyze and track Army Information Technology Requirements in the Automated Schedule and Reports System (ASARS) database.
- Routinely analyze business processes and internal controls, identify risks, and recommend process improvements within the budget execution arena to assist the organization with efficient, effective and timely execution of available fiscal resources.
Supported Technologies: Suite of Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or associate degree plus 4 years of work experience or 6 years of work experience
- 3-10 years' experience in management and execution of fiscal resources
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budget Execution (PPBE) processes
- Strong computer skills including demonstrated fluency in all Microsoft programs to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment and respond quickly to unplanned /unforeseen taskers often involving organization's response to higher headquarters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to analyze and summarize financial material for senior leadership.
- Professional certifications (CDFM, CGFM, CPA)
- 5 years' experience in management an execution of DOD fiscal resources
- Experience with development of dashboards to reflect organizations full fiscal portfolio including total obligation authority, commitments, obligations, and disbursements.
