Overview
Amyx is seeking a Sr. Procurement Analyst to support our Defense Health Agency (DHA) client in Fall Church, VA or remote.
Responsibilities
Sr. Procurement Analyst – Procurement Policy Support:
Provide Procurement Policy support. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Utilize knowledge of and experience in procurement principles, laws, regulations, and practices; decisions of the Comptroller General and Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals; and OMB Circulars to determine the adequacy of acquisition procedures in support of DAD-A Procurement Policy team.
- Formulate planning alternatives for implementation of changes in law, regulation and policy directives of higher authority and identifying recommended changes.
- Perform analysis and evaluation of contracts, contracting actions, and supporting documentation for the purpose of initiating and developing contracting policies, procedures, and guidance material; and for providing technical advice and recommendations to management officials, contracting officers, and other contract and technical support personnel.
- Provide administrative support including typing, filing, report distribution, data entry, and preparation of presentations, meeting scheduling and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain suspense lists for contract administration activities, coordinate funding, acceptance, and payment actions with other organizations, and perform other contract administration support functions.

- A course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field, that includes or is supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields:
- accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization.
- Minimum 10 years direct federal procurement experience in GS-1102 (or similar) capacity, of which:
- a minimum five years is Department of Defense (DoD) procurement policy.
- Exceptional knowledge of all phases of acquisition management.
- Knowledge of price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals against previous history, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.
- Knowledge of the methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, and the ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems.
- Exceptional knowledge of Federal and DoD contracting principles (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to provide expert technical advice, staff coordination and consultation to foster formulating guidelines, implementing new developments, and providing expert interpretation.
