The IT Finance Coordinator works within the IT department and liaises with the corporate finance department to manage the financial aspects of IT initiatives. This includes reviewing and paying invoices, allocating the costs to the appropriate budget categories, ensuring that project managers are aware of project costs, and assisting in the management of the IT budget. This position will work within the IT Business Management team which is responsible for project management, communication, and training. The IT Finance Coordinator will work closely with the VP of IT for both ad hoc reporting and budget preparation and re-forecasting.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely processing of invoices.
  • Develop internal IT processes to streamline the review and approval of invoice payments.
  • Liaise with the internal Finance department to resolve issues with invoice payments.
  • Track spending activity to the IT budget.
  • Manage inquiries and follow-up actions from IT vendors.
  • Prepare reports as needed to track expenditures.
  • Assist in managing the IT budget including quarterly re-forecasting.
  • Document process improvements for invoice processing.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel to one or more AG offices may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • 3 years of substantive relevant experience required.
  • An ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting concepts from both a department and project perspective.
  • General IT knowledge such as the ability to distinguish between infrastructure, applications, and security functional areas.
  • Fluency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong customer service skills and quick response time to internal and external requests.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong attention to deadlines.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
