Position Overview:
As an Owner Operator with ANB CARGO INC, you will be integral to our transportation operations. Using your own truck and trailer, you will ensure the safe and timely transport of goods. This role requires adherence to routes and schedules, open communication with dispatch, and a focus on safety and vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Goods: Safely and efficiently transport cargo on designated routes, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo following strict safety protocols to protect goods and equipment.
- Communication: Maintain regular contact with the dispatch team to coordinate routes, report schedule changes, and address any issues.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on your truck and trailer to ensure optimal performance and prevent disruptions.
- Compliance: Follow all federal, state, and local traffic and safety regulations. Keep all necessary documentation, such as permits and licenses, current and compliant.
Requirements:
- Ownership of Equipment: Own and maintain a truck and trailer in excellent operational condition, meeting our standards.
- CDL A License: Hold a valid CDL A license with a solid understanding of federal and state driving regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience in freight transportation is preferred, with the ability to manage delivery schedules and handle various types of cargo.
- Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record with no major traffic violations, demonstrating a history of safe driving practices.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with the dispatch team and resolve issues.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously while adhering to company policies and managing delivery schedules.
