Job Description
Job Title: Athletic Trainer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with athletes to prevent, diagnose, and treat injuries and promote overall fitness and health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports medicine and exercise science, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs for athletes
- Evaluate and assess injuries and provide treatment plans
- Design and supervise rehabilitation programs for injured athletes
- Educate athletes on proper nutrition, hydration, and injury prevention techniques
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for athletes
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Attend practices and games to provide immediate care for injured athletes
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and research in sports medicine
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification
- State licensure as required
- CPR/AED certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
