Job title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Nursing)Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Operating Room is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. They assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, monitoring patients during surgery, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment. The Operating Room Nurse plays a crucial role in the operating room team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient outcomes.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures2. Assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgery3. Monitoring patients' vital signs and ensuring their safety throughout the procedure4. Administering medications and anesthesia as needed5. Sterilizing and maintaining surgical equipment6. Providing post-operative care and monitoring patients' recovery7. Educating patients and their families on aftercare instructions8. Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care9. Maintaining accurate medical recordsQualifications and Skills:1. Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting4. BLS and ACLS certification5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment7. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills8. Ability to prioritize and problem solve effectively9.
