What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homemaker position at Anchor Group?
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to seniors in their homes or assisted living facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Monitor and manage behaviors associated with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
- Respect and uphold the rights of residents in accordance with established guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care, patient care, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of assisted living, dementia care, behavior management, nursing home, home care, and hospice care practices
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
