Job Details
The Transition Assistant will provide training and support to students participating in specific school to work transition activities, work programs, and volunteerism in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Will facilitate training to students who are involved in the transitional work-training program
- Communicate effectively with school and residential staff to ensure consistency and quality of services provided
- Will work with the Transition Coordinator, Principal, Assistant Principals, Teachers, and Residential staff to ensure that any necessary student needs are met.
- Complete additional vocational and work related tasks to fulfill program needs
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Eligibility to be certified as a Teacher Assistant.

Must maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency.

Must obtain CDL license 19-A and participate in all necessary recertification trainings.

Must keep agency mini-van clean and in good condition and report any vehicle related issues to supervisor and operations staff.

Must be capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention of the agency.

Must be capable at all times of assisting occupants in the orderly evacuation of the facility, by both primary and secondary paths in the event of fire and other emergency
