Description
Anderson University Nicholson Library seeks a Patron Services Coordinator. This library staff position will lead hospitality and patron services through hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and supervising student workers. Will partner with other staff to develop a comprehensive training program that produces responsible, knowledgeable, and helpful student employees. Stays informed of trends in public services policy and procedures. This role will lead library stacks maintenance projects and will compile statistics, analyze data, and prepare access reports related to areas of responsibility in support of departmental and library goals. Will contribute to Interlibrary Loan communication and fulfillment in work with other library staff and consortium partners. Along with other library personnel, will contribute to library projects, organization, promotions and outreach.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred: Undergraduate major in the Humanities, Education, Business or related fields.
Experience
Required: Experience working in office or professional setting, experience with leading employees. Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in library setting, customer service, employee management. Also preferred: Additional experience in library areas such as electronic resource management, public services, interlibrary loan fulfillment.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to learn and adapt to new technologies; ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment; excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills; be detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects.
This is an in-person position that may include some availability to work evening and weekend hours as required. The university remains closely affiliated with its founding church and values its heritage and history. The candidate will be required to possess a mature Christian faith.
