Library Director

The ANDES PUBLIC LIBRARY, a small user-friendly community library,
is seeking a highly motivated person for the part-time position of LIBRARY Director to oversee our organization's operations and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services. The Director will be responsible for managing staff, implementing policies and procedures, and providing strategic leadership to achieve organizational goals.

Duties:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive organizational growth and success
- Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring
- Lead and supervise staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities

- Design and schedule adult and children's programming
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and innovation
- Oversee customer service initiatives to ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Coordinate data collection and analysis to inform decision-making processes
- Maintain accurate records and cataloging systems for efficient retrieval of information
- Troubleshoot software issues and provide technical support as needed
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of an integrated library system
- Utilize databases for research purposes

Experience:
- Previous experience in a leadership role- Some college and library experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues and computerize processes

- Grant writing experience desirable

Training on library services will be provided
