The Business Development Director role is a key position at Andrews Cooper. You will be responsible for driving new business to meet growth targets within target industries and expansion of ongoing accounts. To be successful, you will need to exercise your skills in leadership, sales, engineering strategy, and relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and market analysis.
- Execute effective sales strategies to vet and close ideal-fit projects.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
- Act as a trusted advisor, aligning services with client needs.
- Collaborate with engineering project teams to meet client expectations.
- Work with technical teams to create compelling proposals and presentations that align with client needs and AC’s value proposition.
- Stay informed about industry trends emerging technologies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Networking through events, conferences, and trade shows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, MBA a plus.
- 5 years of successful sales experience in engineering consulting in automation and/or product design.
- Understanding of custom automation and/or product development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Skilled at influencing and fostering relationships with others.
- Up to 50% travel may be required.
- Must possess a valid US Driver’s License.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.

The salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00.
