General Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for assisting the with overall accounting functions of the plant including daily entry of purchasing as well as other HR/Administrative Plant functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Assist Plant Accountant and Purchasing Administrator with daily operational needs such as purchasing, order processing, return processing, data entry, inventory requirements and various other reporting.

  • Responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, maintenance materials, yellow cards, and office and breakroom supplies.

  • Entry of purchase orders in the accounting system and upon receipt, verification of the items received against the purchase order in the accounting system.

  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date raw materials spreadsheets as well as processing raw material orders for foreign plants.

  • Arrange custom documents for exports of sleeves and raw materials.

  • Responsible for maintaining calibration, calibration files, Factory Order Audits, and other files.

  • Assists in special projects or assignments as determined by the Plant Accountant, Plant Superintendent, and Director of Operations, Rolls and Services to meet plant and corporate office needs.

  • Serve as the plant’s HR Point of Contact. Collaborating with Corporate HR to communicate with employees and organize any HR initiatives and/or events.

  • Performs other duties and projects as required by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Associate degree with at least 1 year of accounting experience or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a plant location manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Languages: English
  • Knowledge of integrated business system/accounting packages (Pointman preferred), Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Requires strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical
