ANDRITZ KPR is looking for a Project Manager to manage all communications between the customer and Andritz KPR from a point in time pre-dating the formal quotation and negotiation until the system is commissioned and operating to design with the objective of maintaining profit margin, schedule, design intent, and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will be actively involved in the reicew, approval, presentation, and negotiation of the project as determined by the sales team and project director. After firm purchase order is received, the Project Manager assumes full project responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review initial specifications from both a technical and a cost standpoint with Sales/Engineering/Service.
- Participate in end of sales phase project hand-off process.
- Act as primary contact for both internal and external parties.
- Review customer P.O.’s and requirements to ensure compliance and agreement between documentation.
- Communicate project scope and requirements to all affected parties at the time of the sale (project kick-off).
- Prepare and maintain all project documentation as required by the sales contract.
- Prepare and enter customer orders in SAP. Control project budget, scope, sales order, invoicing, and purchasing in SAP.
- Review project risks and develop a risk mitigation strategy for all potential problem areas.
- Maintain cost, schedule, scope, and quality control throughout the project life cycle.
- Review the contract requirements and schedule with engineering/manufacturing and consultant/customer.
- Take all steps necessary to ensure all deliverables are met.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum: B.S.in a technical engineering or management discipline.
- Minimum: 5-10 years of project management experience, managing medium scale, and complex projects in the pulp and paper industry.
- PMP certification, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
- SAP experience, preferred.
- Significant experience with budget preparation, budget adherence, and cost control.
- Must possess skilled negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, collaboration, and presentation skills. A team-based approach to results is required.
- Superior organizational skills, which include planning, scheduling, and controlling processes.
- Experienced meeting manager.
- Expeditiously handles all project-related financial matters.
- Solid service-orientation with experience managing customer relationships, which includes regular and concise customer communication.
- Ability to bring autonomous groups together for common purpose.
- Willingness to travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, which includes internal/external status reporting.
