The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and developing data metrics for the agency. This position is an integral part of the Finance team’s process to hone and support the infrastructure data sets associated with modeling and analytical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Budget Analyst will actively assist in the implementation of new management tools in alignment with the organization’s accounting system. Assist in development of necessary regulatory agency reporting program(s) to ensure financial, accounting, timely reporting, budgeting and analysis.
General work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm weeks days. Other hours may be necessary for specific projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis or related field with 3 year experience
- High level of proficiency with Excel and other reporting applications required,
- Knowledge of data management, BI Cubes, data mining and warehousing expertise a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organize and coordinate
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong written and verbal skills
- Experience in Not for profit general ledger accounting a plus
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and exposure to financial statement, budgeting, account analyses and reconciliation report writing functions and tools
- Familiarity with NY State reimbursement contracting desired but not necessary.
