Production Supervisor

We are looking for a high energy Production Supervisor to oversee our production department. You’ll guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. In a fast paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. You must be competent, and be able to operate in a dynamic operational environment. The goal is to ensure that you utilize our production processes to efficiently deliver products of maximum quality.

Responsibilities:

• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives or job expectations and communicate them to the production team
• Organize workflow by assigning tasks/responsibilities
• Monitor employees in the production team
• Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
• Train new employees on how to safely use equipment and follow procedures
• Check production output according to specifications
• Submit regular reports on production performance to the Operations manager
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements; facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points
• Initiate and foster teamwork
• Coordinate, and enforce strict safety guidelines, systems, policies, and SOPs
• Resolve production problems/issues by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
• Implementation and application of GMP, safety and quality programs.

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing or production management is essential to excel in this role, ensuring a deep understanding of the production process and effective leadership capabilities.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing System or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred but not required. Familiarity with these methodologies can significantly contribute to streamlining production processes, enhancing efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. However, we are open to candidates who are eager to learn and adapt to our processes.
• Organizational and leadership abilities are crucial for effectively managing a production team and optimizing workflow efficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for facilitating collaboration within the team and effectively communicating objectives and expectations.
• A self-motivated, results-driven approach is essential for driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving production targets.
• Problem-solving skills are vital for identifying issues in efficiency, troubleshooting production problems, and implementing effective solutions.
• A degree in a technical or engineering field or specialized certifications in manufacturing or production management is preferred, providing a solid foundation of technical knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
