Test Facility Technician

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Set up compressors for testing
  • Tear down compressors after testing is complete
  • Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests for all equipment
  • Responsible for the appearance of the test area
  • Responsible for knowing Series II software
  • Use Microsoft AX Dynamics software
  • Learn how to use Ariel Performance software

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as, probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts, such as, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following software: database, design, word processing, internet, inventory, manufacturing, and order processing systems.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Mechanical, Electrical and PLC skills
Ability to travel when needed
Must be eligible to work in the United States and be able to obtain a US passport
Ability to commission, test and run CNG compressors

The employee must regularly lift and /or move from 10 pounds to up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move from 100 pounds to more than 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SPECIFIC PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Able to work in cramped and unusual conditions including extreme cold/ heat

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather) risk of electrical shock; work with explosives and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Works with compressed natural gas when in manufacturing / test pad areas of the building and when visiting customer sites.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
