Ann and Nate Levine Academy (Dallas, Texas) is an inclusive, dynamic, infant–8 grade, Jewish day school which fosters leadership, creativity, critical thinking, and Jewish values while empowering its students with integrity, self-confidence, and intellectual curiosity. We are committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our approximately 200 Early Childhood students where children can explore, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Director to lead our thriving preschool program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of early childhood development, a proven track record of success in managing and motivating staff, and a commitment to creating a warm, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for our young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and management of the preschool program, including:
- Continually enhance the current early childhood curriculum, and establish continuity from year to year.
- Oversee the daily operations of the preschool, including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations and adherence to the school’s mission
- Speak eloquently and passionately to parents, teachers, students, and prospective parents as the public face of the early childhood program.
- Communicate with all constituents regularly and transparently
- Have and communicate a clear vision for the early childhood program
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of early childhood educators, including:
- Provide ongoing training and meaningful professional development opportunities
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and visiting classrooms on a regular basis
- Create a healthy, supportive, collaborative, professional culture
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents
- Collaborate with community partners to expand the preschool's reach and impact
- Collaborate with other school leaders in an effort to maximize retention and help the school strive for excellence in all areas.

- Trustworthy and fair, and follow through consistently and with integrity.
- Knowledgeable about early childhood education, clear about your view of age-appropriate learning, and an advocate for professional development for all.
- Levine is an inclusive Jewish school community, and while one does not need to be Jewish, an understanding of the community is important.
Qualifications:
- Advanced studies in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferable
- 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate staff
- Ability to create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children
Bonus Qualification:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Hebrew
Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, medical insurance, retirement plan, relocation, and significant tuition remission as per the school’s policy.
