What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Manager position at Ann Storck Center?

The Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring medical and nursing services to optimize the health status of the individuals served. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and APD regulatory standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides support to physician in the implementation of medical services (on-site clinics).
  • Ensures lab studies are done in a timely manner.
  • Ensures specialists and dental consultations are done in a timely manner with follow-up as needed.
  • Monitors facility for compliance with State standards for biomedical waste.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure the facility preparedness for disaster such as hurricanes.
  • Reviews incident reports and promptly report any safety issues.
  • Ensure monthly Physician Order Sheets are accurate and signed by the physician in a timely manner.
  • Review monthly consultant pharmacist’s reports with follow-up on any recommendations with physicians and/or nursing.
  • Ensure medication areas and medication carts conform to pharmacy regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in Nursing, preferred
  • Five years of nursing experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience of working in a Group Home or ICF setting is a plus!
  • Must pass Level II Background, Drug screening, PPD, and Physical

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $54,000.00 per year

License/Certification:
