Job Summary

Title: Counselor for Licensed Drug and Alcohol Halfway House

Immediate Supervisor: Facility Director

The following tasks cover the most significant duties to be performed, but do not exclude the possiblities of other assignments as required:Perform all duties of a case manager for assigned case load including: conduct assignments, develops problem list, prioritize clinical problems, write consolidated assessment,present client to treatment team, document progress notes, develop appropriate treatment plan, conduct didactic lectures, participate in AMA intervention, conduct group and individual sessions, provide family treatment as needed, maintain contact with referrals, update treatment plan as required and present case consultations, write discharge summaries, prepare continuing care plans, make appropriate referrals to other agencies and treatment providers. Assist in admissions when needed, Handle inquiry calls when needed,

Responsibilities and Duties

Demonstrates a professional, ethical, caring attitude with clients that reflects the treatment philosophy. Demonstrates a desire to grow professionally by attending appropriate trainings and maintains certification requirements. Maintains work area in a safe, clean condition. Represent the facility to referrals and the public when needed.

Performs other tasks as assigned by the Facility Director

Qualifications and Skills

Requisite Skills and Knowledge:Minimum of Bachelors' Degree in Counseling or related field.

Experience in residential treatment, 12 Step recovery programs and DDAP documentation is desired.

Valid PA driver's license required.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
