Shipping/Receiving positions with Sheyenne Dakota, Inc. (SDI) provide on-the-job training at a starting rate of $14/hour (or at a higher hourly rate, depending upon role and relevant experience) plus full benefits for all full-time employees that begin on day one of employment and a $500 sign-on bonus!
Sheyenne Dakota, Inc. (SDI) is a member of the ANOVA family with a small (but mighty!) Production Assembly Team located in West Fargo, North Dakota. What you’ll do —
- Coordinate with customers on international shipments in a fast-paced manufacturing production environment
- Complete all shipping documentation per regulation
- Safely pack and palletize shipments as needed
- Provide back up on all domestic shipping responsibilities
- Complete final inspection of all orders
- Collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization and across global, cross-functional teams as needed to support the full production team
- Day Shift — 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
What you’ll need to succeed —
- Relevant work experience (ideally 2 years) within manufacturing, production/assembly, and supply chain management (purchasing, shipping/receiving, warehousing, inventory control, quality assurance/control, etc.) preferred, not required
- Excellent understanding of shipping materials domestically and internationally
- Experience shipping dangerous goods is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and ERP (Macola, Epicor, Great Plains, etc.) tools
- Effective communication skills, including a hands-on, rollup-the-sleeves attitude to collaborate for success in a fast-paced, team environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity and proven proficiency and skill in operating a variety of equipment for use of basic hand tools, tape measures, blueprints, schematics, etc.
- Ability to work while standing or being seated for up to 8 hours with 3 daily breaks, sustaining repetitive motions and performing repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and within constraints according to production standard cycle times while adhering to all company procedures and safety guidelines
- High School diploma or GED required
