Job Purpose/Overview
The Account Specialists leads the charge in finding and qualifying leads for our outside sales team. In this Inside Sales position, you’ll use outbound calls to prospect new business and qualify marketing leads to pass to your outside sales counterparts and set up product demonstrations. This position is a great fit for you if you’re relentless with your outbound call activity and you’re in your comfort zone setting up appointments and product demos. It is important that you also take a strategic and consultative approach in managing your pipeline to drive future business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead generation for Outside Sales Reps in assigned territories including scheduling demos and tracking progress
Master the art of prospecting and qualify leads, pass them to outside sales, and quickly seek out the next new lead.
Generate qualified opportunities through extensive cold calling, inbound calls, and timely handling of web, email, and marketing qualified leads
Provide prospects with surface-level information about Sound products and services.
Identify non-lead calls (support inquiries, etc), and quickly pass them to the most appropriate department for proper handling.
Accurate and timely CRM data management and data entry for all opportunities and leads in assigned territory including: contact information, competitive insight, account history, communication etc.
Ensure lead management and opportunity advancement is accurate and updated in a timely manner
Provide feedback to manager and other departments across the company regarding trends in the customer base and the market as a whole.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
AA or BS degrees highly desirable
RVT
1-2 years previous lead generation experience in an “outbound calling” environment.
Vet Technician experience a plus
Prior veterinary/imaging market experience a plus.
Ability to multi-task, handle significant call and email volume.
Strong technology background a plus.
Knowledge of MS office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, IE)
Working knowledge of CRM & ERP software.
Research skills through web, internal databases, and other sources.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude.
Must have strong planning & organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proven ability to follow through / follow up and resolve issues.
Physical Requirements
Extensive phone work, typing & data entry (95%)
Occasional lifting up to 25lbs., and pushing/pulling up 55lbs
Predominately sitting (90%)
