The Role:
AnthroMed Education is hiring a Social Worker who will support students in the Early Childhood program and Kindergarten through 5th grade. These classrooms are all in one building and there is another full-time Social Worker in this building. This caseload includes supporting the ECSE program (3 and 4-year-olds) and the ASD program (K-5).

School Social Worker Responsibilities:

• Provide school-based counseling services to children with IEPs and Gen Ed/consult as needed.
• Conduct services in individual and/or group settings based on student’s needs
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for students to encourage social, emotional, and educational growth
• Serve as a member of the crisis team and MTSS team
• Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and make changes to the plan as necessary
• Lead development of Functional Behavior Assessments and implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans
• Serve as a member of the Child Study Process, Child Screening Committees, and/or similar groups to screen and assess students experiencing school-related problems and to improve existing school programs and procedures in meeting the educational needs of students. 
• Promote family support of students' learning experience within the context of multicultural understanding and competencies
• Offer staff training, modeling, and support on issues related to social-emotional-environmental factors that impact learning and interventions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Must possess or be in process for S310 form- Approval to work in MI schools
• Previous school social work experience is preferred.
• Experience evaluating students with a variety of disabilities
