Accepting applications for Agronomy Warehouse and Operations Specialist
Located in Anton, Colo
An Agronomy Specialist will have service and operations functions within the business. This is a hands-on position requiring you to work outside in all kinds of weather. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis are housekeeping/maintenance duties to keep our agronomy facilities running efficiently, loading of our products to customers.
This includes loading and unloading chemical, filling and calibrating shuttles, filling liquid fertilizer trailers. The position requires you to learn knowledge and understanding of fertilizer, and ag chemicals. Off season duties will include maintenance and upkeep of plant and equipment.
Customer service is of the upmost importance for this position as you will be interacting with customers daily by servicing their needs and answering questions. A willingness to learn is required for this position as you may be asked to operate several different machinery equipment including but not limited to Fork Lift, Skidsteers, pumps and blending equipment. Applicant needs to have basic computer skills
Anton coop operates under the "all hands-on deck" philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements for Job
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A high school diploma and/or equivalent.
- Prefer an Associate's Degree in either Agronomy or Agribusiness, or equivalent experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic mechanical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- The ability to think clearly and problem solve
- The desire to be involved in agriculture and work for a cooperative
- Physically, this position requires you to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl on a regular basis
- This position requires you to climb ladders and ride the man-lift. You must be able to regularly lift at least
- 50 pounds.
- You will be working around ag chemicals; you will be exposed to outdoor temperatures.
- You must be flexible with your schedule as more hours will be expected during peak seasons.
