Position Summary
As Head of People you’ll help us discover, develop, motivate, and retain the team at Antora Energy. You will act as a champion for the company culture and will support the company executives and team leaders, allowing the company to develop and grow quickly while maintaining that culture. In this role you will be responsible for all human resources related activities. As head of the People Operations team, you will partner with all areas of the company to help them build and support their organizations. This will involve, driving recruitment of the best talent, coaching on team leadership, helping to resolve employee relations issues and managing programs that help develop our team. This position is a key strategic role in the company helping to grow the business and allowing us to build a unique and strong people-oriented culture at Antora Energy.
What you will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement learning & development programs for employees across the company with a particular focus on employees that contribute to our core operations that serve customers.
- Develop analytics and feedback mechanisms to track the status and progress of our people operations processes, including equity, diversity, and inclusion, onboarding, training, satisfaction at work, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with the founders to run bottoms-up processes to craft our values, mission, and, critically, processes that reinforce them.
- Manage our talent acquisition function through multiple phases of doubling our number of employees.
- Own all the core HR needs & operations at the business: HR policies, benefits, compensation, career ladders, payroll, and performance reviews.
- Provide situational coaching and assistance in response to real-time HR needs for the business.
- Inspire and manage a small HR team and grow that team over time.
- Develop & implement training programs for managers and leaders.

- You either have depth of knowledge of HR regulations or are able to work closely with external consultants on compliance.
- You have at least eight years of experience working in HR and have experience managing direct reports for at least three of those years.

Location and hours: Antora Energy’s operations are currently highly distributed, especially so given the current situation with COVID-19. While our core team is concentrated in the San Francisco Bay Area, many team members are currently working from home depending on their job functions, and we partner with contractors and suppliers across the US. Our headquarters is located in Sunnyvale, CA. The Head of People needs to be able to come into the office as needed, not fully remote. Likely 1-2 days per week in the office would be useful for this role.
