Lead engineer of internal & external teams to design & construct installation sites and balance-of-plant for our solid-state thermal energy storage pilot systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage front-end development through construction and closeout.
Prepare and/or review design criteria, drawings, specifications, and reports for permitting and construction.
Engage engineering specialists (civil, structural, environmental, etc) as required.
Ensure that internal and external change requests are managed, tracked and controlled.
Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications for the job sites.
Lead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues.
Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project budgets and feasibility.
Key Qualifications
5 years of experience engineering build sites for large energy systems in the field (e.g. solar power plants, energy storage, wind farms).
Experience with EPC management, permitting, regulatory compliance, project footprint, site survey and prep, risk table and mitigation strategies, construction, stakeholder engagement and reporting, etc.
Experience leading engineering on-location at sites requiring power, water, electrical, gas, cooling, grading, foundations, construction, safety, etc.
Bachelors in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent.
Empathy, sensitivity, and ability to effectively interact with a broad and diverse range of colleagues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Qualifications Desired
Experience with high-temperature thermal systems and/or energy/power systems.
PE in California

Location and hours: Antora’s operations are currently highly distributed, especially so given the current situation with COVID-19. While our core team is concentrated in the San Francisco Bay Area, many team members are currently working from home depending on their job functions, and we partner with contractors and suppliers across the US. Our headquarters is located in Sunnyvale, CA. For this role, on-site (either at Antora Energy headquarters or on the job site) work 2-3 days a week will be required and flexibility in schedule can be accommodated.
