Jewelry Sales Associate

**Overview:**

I am an artist at the Sawdust Art Festival looking for a dynamic Sales Associate to join our team. I sell mostly low and mid-range jewelry items along with some wall art and clothing. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a passion for retail sales. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with diverse customers.

**Duties:**

- Assist customers in locating products and provide information on product features

- Process sales transactions accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems

- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restock products, and monitor inventory levels

- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that meet their requirements

- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly

- Demonstrate knowledge of retail math to calculate discounts, sales tax, and change accurately

**Requirements:**

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers

- Fluency in English

- Experience in retail sales, preferably in the fields of jewelry or art

- Familiarity with POS systems and basic understanding of stock management

- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

**Pay:**

Pay starts at 16$/hour with opportunity for commission. Depending on your sales ability, this could increase your wages considerably to 20$/hour or more.

**Hours:**

The festival runs from June 28-Sept 1. I am needing help on some weekday evenings and definitely on weekend nights. The ideal candidate would have a degree of flexibility if I am needing to call for extra help during peak hours. Here is a sample schedule with the mandatory shifts in bold.
