Inventory Analyst
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: DC Manager
Summary/Objective
The Inventory Analyst interfaces with all transactional employees in shipping and manufacturing. Interprets inventory records and transactions to assure that employees are making the necessary transactions required to support and maintain an accurate computerized inventory.

Essential Functions
- Own the inventory transaction process and make sure transactions are made, and employees are performing and sustaining the system concepts.
- Review daily edit reports and other transaction data to audit the activity within the transaction system.
- Examine receiving reports and the transactions that support movement of goods to locations.
- Examine production reports and the transactions that moved the goods to Finished Inventory.
- Examine Bin Locations to ensure transactions are flowing thru; examine bin-to-bin transaction reports to make sure there are no apparent errors.
- Examine MO pick reports to make sure all MO items were picked and delivered; etc.
- Create MO’s as needed
- Conduct appropriate daily investigations to identify errors, root causes of errors, or anomalies
- Conduct cycle counts when appropriate to correct errors and adjustments.
- Conduct training sessions to make sure that transactional staff is trained and working properly.
- Suggest improvements and changes to the transaction methods to assure compliance, accuracy and timeliness.
- Keep records of the errors found by auditing elements of the inventory system and report error events and causes to management
- Gain knowledge of the GP and X10 Systems so they are being used appropriately
- Ownership of inventory activities between sites and 3PL’s inventory activities.
- Lead and coordinate annual physical inventory process.
- Participate in weekly Operations Gemba walks.
- Lead inventory KPI implementation and review
- Develop and administer inventory control policies and procedures.
- Develop capabilities for inventory planning and reporting.

Preferred Education and Experience
High School
Bachelors or associate degree
Prior experience with inventory systems, GP Software (Great Plains)
Work Environment
This position is located within the warehouse office and routinely works in a warehouse setting where they may be exposed to fumes and dust.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
