Job Description
Our unique entry level apprentice program, Access II Industry, generates long term career pathways. Our U.S. Department of Labor registered program utilizes The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) core curriculum to lay the foundation needed for individuals to advance to craft specific training. Those selected for this opportunity will be employed and paid during 2 week (80 hour) classroom and hands-on training where they will learn the basics of the industry, safe work practices, and be introduced to the crafts Apache provides--Scaffolding, Coatings and Linings (Industrial Paint), and Industrial Insulation. After the initial classroom portion, placement on an Apache jobsite will occur according to business needs and on the job training will continue.
Job Description:
Perform or assist with tasks required per the job scope, including but not limited to: cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, using a variety of tools and machines, following directions to perform assigned duties and responsibilities such as:
1. Assisting scaffold carpenters, industrial insulators, painters and other specialized contractors as needed
2. Maintaining clean work area and aid craft professionals with supplies, materials and equipment.
3. Setting up and taking down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
4. Communicating regularly with crew leadership regarding issues and concerns on the job site.
5. Complying with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.

Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Ability to pass drug test and background checks ( these requirements vary by job site)
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks often at heights or in confined spaces. Tasks include, but are not limited to climbing, lifting, walking/standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, etc.
