Our new multi-family apartment buildings in Brookings and Watertown, SD is looking for a maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance and day to day repairs on its common areas as well as occupied and vacated units. The ideal candidate will be one who can work independently to meet set maintenance and building upkeep expectations. We’re looking for a maintenance technician who will exceed client expectations, ensuring that our beloved community is always in good condition and maintained properly.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with the property manager to set a routine maintenance schedule.
- Performing routine maintenance in accordance with the schedule on common areas and apartments.
- Ensuring maintenance vendors are in place as needed and performing according to expectations.
- Collecting bids and contracts for maintenance and grounds vendors and making vendor recommendations.
- Making cosmetic and functional repairs to common areas and apartment units.
- Being on call for emergency repairs.
Hours: Part-Time position. Unit turnovers may result in some overtime or additional hours as needed (demand will generally be near month end). For Full-Time consideration, grounds maintenance (mowing, snow removal, landscape upkeep, etc) would be considered in-scope.
Schedule: 4-5 days per week expected. Hours are flexible but must be during hours that do not disturb our residents and must meet repair turn time expectations.
