Position Summary:
As our clients’ personal CFOs, we are considered trusted advisors for all financial aspects of their personal and professional lives. Our platinum-level client service model has allowed us to harvest deep rooted relationships with our clients and their other trusted advisors. Apercen FOS continues to grow, and we are seeking individuals who can advise clients as well as manage, grow and develop their own teams of professionals.
As the FOS Operations Manager I, you will focus on annual state report processing to support internal client teams. If you have a passion for details and want to hone your accounting skills at the highest stage, you will love working at Apercen FOS.
Responsibilities
- Manage annual 1099 and 1042 processing on behalf of the firm, reviewed monthly/quarterly
- Oversee CA Withholding on Nonresident payments and CA EDD reporting
- Develop and maintain proper reporting policies and procedures
- Provide quarterly 1099 status reports to client teams
- Support FOS client teams
- Work with team to develop and implement process efficiencies, and policies and procedures
- Effectively manage, train, mentor, and motivate team of high performing individuals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external teams both verbally and via email
- Possession of the utmost integrity and ability to uphold client confidentiality
- Must be highly detail-oriented
- Ability to process rush items or otherwise meet daily deadlines
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and manage stress
- Understand and carry out directions in an independent manner
- Possession of good decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications:
- JDE/1099, 1099-Pro, and 1042-Pro Software experience preferred
- Experience as an Accountant, Treasurer or Controller preferred
- CPA or MBA preferred
Apercen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for those assigned and/or hired to work in for New York City Metro Area, Colorado, Washington State, and California. The salary range for all localities is $150,000 – 160,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, certifications, skills and geography.
