What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLC Programmer position at Apex Automation Inc.?
We are a Northern Indiana Company providing a broad range of Industrial Robotic, Automation, Machinery, and Electrical services through out the United States. Our main focus is the manufacturing industry with the core of our work being installation.
The candidate we seek will have PLC Programming experience, and knowledge of or the desire to learn about installing and building automated machinery, conveyors, and robotic cells and systems. Electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience is a huge plus. Travel is required. All skills below are not required but would be helpful.
Electrical Skills
• Create programs utilizing Fanuc (and other robot brands) software for robotic applications
• Commission, test and debug robotic systems at customer’s facilities
• Provide technical support for electrical controls and troubleshooting for customers both in field and telephonically
• Experience in PLC logic programming
• Background in complex automated machines
• Partner with mechanical engineers and project management
Professional Skills
• Have complete set of quality hand tools applicable to your trade, optional
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials, and maintain clean orderly work site
• OSHA safety training 10 hour, 30 Hour
• Certifications: Fork truck, Aerial Lift, Crane
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe, AutoCAD
• Have professional appearance, dependable, detail oriented, good work ethic
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 pounds, climb ladders, work from elevated platforms
• Valid drivers license, dependable transportation
