What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR/Administrative Support position at Apex Deliveries Inc?
Apex Deliveries Inc. is a locally owned and operated Amazon Delivery Service Partner. We contract with Amazon to handle the Last Mile Delivery of packages to their customers.
This role will likely start out as part time but could develop into a full time opportunity with the right person.
We are seeking an individual to assist with a variety of Human Resources and Administrative tasks. Most of the functions will be around driver recruiting, onboarding and applicant tracking. Some of the tasks are listed below.
- Human Resources - Post, manage, edit and refresh our job postings on different platforms (e.g. Indeed, Facebook). Screen potential candidates and schedule in person interviews. Conduct interviews and move candidates through the onboarding process.
- Administrative - Assist owner with invoice reviews and minor bookkeeping functions. Manage data that the operations team tracks on a daily basis. Manage the company's social media presence. Assist with personnel documentation and records retention.
In addition to the items above, the individual will be asked to assist with other operations support as needed. We work in a very fluid environment where circumstances change and we must adapt quickly to situations that arise. This position will assist when those unexpected events occur.
Desired Skills:
- Tech Saavy - We use a lot of online platforms and applications that require experience using technology.
- Effective Communicator - This individual will be the face of the company to potential job candidates and must communicate effectively. This position requires solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail - Small details make a big impact in our industry so having a keen eye is critical. Following processes down to the minutia is required.
- Be proactive - If you see something that needs to be done, don't wait to be told to do it; just do it.
- Preparation and Planning - We are believers in planning in advance and preparing for variable outcomes. We make decisions based on data. Once we have the data, we create a plan and execute on it.
Having previous experience with Human Resources is a big plus!
This position is likely to evolve with time and could pick up more responsibilities. We foresee this individual working about 20-30 hours a week to start. This could grow into a full time position with the right person in place.
